RAHRC ORAC is the Ras Al Hamra Recreation Centre Offroad Adventure Club, or simply ORAC.
ORAC is run by a committee of volunteers living in Oman who are off-road enthusiasts driving regularly in the desert, mountains and Wadis of this beautiful country. ORAC is supported by an even larger group of “Friends of ORAC who volunteer their time to support/ lead various events. These range from day and weekend trips to the all important training sessions run by ORAC.
The club’s aim is to provide safe but adventurous trips in various off-road terrains for its members located in Oman.
We organise serious events for our most intrepid drivers as well as family friendly trips allowing all (and especially inexperienced members) to experience and enjoy this spectacular country in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
Membership is free but participation in events is limited to Oman residents due to training requirements and the need for vehicles to be privately owned and insured. Rental or company vehicles are not allowed on any ORAC trips.
