Training Overview

In the past, several times a year,  RAH ORAC has offered a series of training events giving  members opportunities to gain essential experience and skills that promote safe driving in the desert.

The first was a Theory Talk based in Muscat and the second a Practical Driving experience held in the Wahiba Sands. Both were compulsory for any sand based driving event run by ORAC.

An online theory course developed during covid social distancing has now been discontinued.

Mountain and Wadi trips do not require training.

For those who would still like to learn to drive in the sand without qualifying for practical training and without the right to attend sand based events, the videos (7 in total)  are also still available.
