 What’s the Extreme Wahiba Challenge?
- This event is for seasoned Wahiba Challengers who have completed at least one Wahiba Challenge Classic.
- It’s a 72km, 2-day self-guided adventure deep into the stunning Wahiba Desert.
- Participants will navigate multiple GPS locations and conquer some of the tallest dunes in the region.
 What to Expect?
- Challenge Level: High. This event demands skill, preparation, and teamwork.
- Navigation: Teams will be self-guided using GPS.
- Supplies: Teams must carry extra fuel, recovery equipment, and camping gear. There is no support.
 Important Wahiba Extreme Rules:
- Eligibility: All participants must be aged 18+ and have completed both the ORAC theory and practical training.
- Team Composition: Minimum 4 vehicles, maximum 5 vehicles per team. At least one RAHRC member per team. Two people per vehicle (max), with at least 2 spare seats per team.
- Vehicle Requirements: Recommended for short and medium size wheelbase 4x4s. 1+ winch per team required. No red number plate cars permitted.
- Essentials: At least one GPS system per team. All recovery equipment, food, water, fuel, and camping supplies must be provided by the team.
