Training - Safety Rules and Regulations
- Practical Training: Registration and event fee must be completed by the stated date
- Sand Trips: All vehicles must have a sand flag attached at all times while driving on sand.
- Vehicle Checks: Before starting any trip, ensure that all vehicles undergo a basic safety check (tire pressure, fuel levels, lights, recovery gear, etc.).
- Seat Belts: All passengers must wear seat belts at all times when the vehicle is in motion.
- Vehicle Requirements: Your vehicle must be capable of switching to 4×4 Low Range. All-wheel drive vehicles are not permitted
- Passenger Safety: Passengers must not ride on the sides of the vehicle or lean out of windows at any time.
- Following the Lead Car: Always follow the lead training car and stay on the convoy tracks, regardless of your driving experience, unless guided to an alternate route by a trainer.
- Stuck Vehicles: If a vehicle is being recovered, keep all passengers inside your vehicle until the recovery is complete.
- Follow Instructions: Please follow instructions of your training team, please ask them if you are not sure of their communication.
- Vehicle Permissions: Red number plate cars will not be permitted on any ORAC events without prior special permission and agreement with the ORAC Chairman.
